JOSE LUIS YSMIÑO, 2022
MATERIAL: Mixed oil and acrylic on canvas, 2022
DIMENSIONS: 100 x 150 cm
DESCRIPTION The toucans look at the ravine, jump from branch to branch among the leaves, receive the afternoon light of the sun, enjoy the pure air, and welcome you.
In the center, to the left of the waterfall, is a palm tree, the cashapona, with long legs and a trunk with thorns. The cashapona is very useful for humans. Nutritious salads and healthy fibers are prepared from the tender stem. The Shipibo tribe uses the wood and bark in the construction of their houses and floors. The cashaponita is one beautiful creation of the almighty.
The tree with its structure, shape and height teaches us to face life with a straight back. The roots in a circle make the tree stable against the wind and surrounding trees.
The water of the waterfall, an element that occurs frequently in the high rainforest (selva alta) around Pucallpa, purifies and facilitates the life of the flora and fauna of the rainforest.
Paintings come with a description of the painting and symbols, and a bio of the painter.
